Rock wool cupola furnaces generate high temperatures (1500-1850°C) through the combustion of coke or gas, melting ore raw materials into a liquid state. Taking a coke cupola furnace as an example, the furnace interior is divided into preheating, melting, oxidation, and reduction zones. Preheated combustion air is introduced through tuyeres, where it undergoes vigorous oxidation reactions with coke to release heat. As the ore descends, it progressively softens and melts, ultimately forming a uniform melt.
