Glass wool, an inorganic fiber material primarily made from glass that is melted at high temperatures, spun into fibers, and cured with an appropriate amount of binder, is widely used in various fields—including construction, industry, and transportation—due to its excellent thermal insulation, sound absorption, and corrosion resistance properties. The design and manufacture of glass wool production equipment directly impact the quality of the final product, production efficiency, and cost control.
The fiberization unit is the core component of glass wool production. It uses a high-speed centrifuge or a blowing method to draw liquid glass into fine, elongated fibers. These fibers rapidly cool and solidify in the air, forming the basic structure of the glass wool. The binder spraying system simultaneously applies an appropriate amount of binder evenly onto the glass fibers during fiberization to enhance inter-fiber bonding and improve the overall strength and stability of the glass wool.
