Equipment Inspection and Preparation

Before startup, inspect the centrifuge shaft and rotor to ensure they are in good condition and free of cracks or deformation (recommended once a week).

Ensure the centrifuge chamber is clean and free of residual glass wool or other foreign objects.

Select the appropriate rotor model based on production requirements (e.g., 600 mm or 800 mm diameter rotors) and verify the maximum speed (typically 3,000–5,000 rpm; refer to the equipment manual for specifics).

Parameter Settings and Startup

Set the speed: The speed of a glass wool centrifuge is generally controlled between 2,500 and 4,000 rpm. Excessively high speeds may cause fiber breakage, while excessively low speeds may affect separation efficiency (Source: *Fiber Manufacturing Equipment Operation Manual*, 2022 edition).

Temperature control: If the equipment has a heating function, it is recommended to set it between 50 and 80°C to optimize glass wool forming efficiency.

Start-up Sequence: First turn on the power. After the system self-test is complete, gradually increase the speed to the target RPM to avoid sudden acceleration.

Operational Monitoring

Monitor vibration levels in real time. If they exceed 2.5 mm/s, shut down the machine immediately (ISO 1940-1 vibration standard).

Check through the observation window to ensure the glass wool is distributed evenly to prevent imbalance caused by uneven loading.
